With a neodymium bar magnet in the bridge and well-matching AlNiCo8 in the neck, it offers unparalleled dynamic range and versatility for any playing style. Its advanced technology delivers hum cancelling in any wiring without compromising tone and less of a volume drop when split than conventional pickups.

It's retrofit compatible with most conventional humbuckers and covers all common 6 string spacings.

Why active?
Active systems offer a range of advantages - two of the most prominent ones I'll explain right now:

• buffering the signal right in the instrument: 

This protects it from top end loss, noise induction and other signal deteriorating effects passive systems suffer from. The signal reaching the next element in your signal chain will be independed from the cable used or the input impedance of your amp, for example.

• sophisticated sound sculpting options:

The Omnia offers two voicings: The popular and known voicing from the passive Omnia as well as a hybrid voicing with the broad mid push known from some conventional active systems such as EMG, but combined with the definition of the passive Omnia. It's the ideal middle way between nasty chugs and the clarity often missing from active voiced pickups.

Some trivia for the geeks:

Due to the ultra efficient opamps used in the circuit, the active Omnia is extremely energy efficient and your 9V block will last unusually long, compared to other systems.

The base plate is a PCB with meshed ground plane to get shielding with minimal eddy current losses.

The bobbins and other internal parts are PLA printed with a precision FDM printer while the cover is SLA printed from UV and moisture resistant resin.

The blades are custom laser cut from soft iron which is an ideal coil core due to high inductivity and permeability as well as contributing to a balanced sound.

Neodymium as a bridge magnet was my choice due to the highest dynamic range among all magnet types I've tested so far, and AlNiCo8 presented the best match for the neck to add some warmth.

The two coil pairs are wound asymmetrically - perfectly hum cancelling in any configuration, but adding a tiny bit of that tasty single coil twang to the prominent humbucker tone.

a high quality shielded four conductor cable by Sommer featuring pin connectors to the pickup to fascilitate mounting without putting stress on the cable - for connecting a switch to access parallel, split or series mode and for tapping the passive signal if wished.

another quality shielded cable - three conductors - by Sommer featuring pin connectors. For power supply, ground and (active) signal. Pin layout compatible to EMG and Fishman.
